✨ WINDOW TREATMENTS THAT WOW — ON ANY BUDGET! ✨
In today’s video, I’m finally revealing a NEVER-BEFORE-SEEN on room makeover (you’ve only seen it if you’re in my Design Sessions community 😉)… and we’re talking all things window treatments—how to select curtains, hang them, and get that high-end designer look affordably! 💃
Whether you’re starting from scratch or trying to make your existing curtains work just a little harder, I’m walking you through the 5 essential elements that make ALL the difference:

🪄 5 KEY ELEMENTS OF FABULOUS WINDOW TREATMENTS:
1. PANELS:
Choose panels with substance—I’m talking fabric with real weight! Go for a solid color with a clean, modern grommet header. Each panel should finish at around 7" wide (that’s AFTER pleating!).
2. POLES:
Yes, the curtain rod matters! I recommend a 1” diameter rod with simple finials, in a finish that complements your space. Extend the rod 16"–20" wider than your actual window to make it feel GRAND. Use quality brackets—the strong ones!
3. PLACEMENT:
This is where so many go wrong! Hang your drapery all the way to the ceiling, and let it just kiss the floor. Think of it as dressing the walls, not the window frame, and be sure your brackets hide neatly behind your panels.
4. PRIVACY:
Need light control or privacy? Add roller shades behind your drapery. Bonus points if they’re motorized (yes, darling… automation can be chic AND practical!).
5. PRESERVE:
Already have curtains that are too short? Don’t toss them—add fabric to the bottom in the same material for a seamless, custom look. And for heaven’s sake… iron them first and cut off the tags. It’s the little things, my friends. 😉
