This DIY lighting update completely changed the look of my room.
I’ve had this caviar light fixture since my design office days in San Diego, and now it hangs over my piano in Tulsa. Originally it had a silver and chrome interior, but lately I’ve been loving warmer antique brass finishes. Instead of replacing the fixture, I disassembled it and spray painted the interior to create a custom antique brass look.
If your lighting or home decor no longer fits your style, you don’t always need to buy something new. Simple DIY updates like refinishing chrome, spray painting hardware, or updating a fixture’s finish can give you a luxury look for less and keep the pieces you love working in your home.
