This is a guide on replacing a screen on HP This is a guide on replacing a screen on HP 15-fd0023d laptop.

To begin turn the laptop off and disconnect the power cord.

Start removing the bezel. Insert a plastic pick between the bezel and and the screen on the inner side.
Move it along the perimeter unsnapping the bezel. The hinge cover is attached to the bezel
Close the laptop. Insert a plastic pick between the bezel and the back cover and move it along the edge.
Turn the laptop sideways and release bezel at the corners. Using plastic pick and fingers release
the bezel at the bottom of the screen.

The screen is held in place with two adhesive strips on the sides with loose tabs
in the bottom corners. Using tweezers pull out adhesive strip from the right side.
Pull out adhesive strip on the left side.

Place the screen on the keyboard. Peel off the silver tape securing the video connector.
Open the connector’s bracket. Disconnect the video cable. Discard the old screen.

Place the new screen on the keyboard. Reconnect the video cable. Close the connector’s bracket.
Secure it with a tape.

CAUTION! It is very important not to force any connectors.
Also make sure not to twist or slant the connector when plugging it in.

Lift the screen up and lean it against the back cover. It is time to test the new screen.
Turn the laptop on. The screen is working and we can finish the installation process.

Place the screen back on to the keyboard.
We are going to use a set of adhesive strips which you can buy on our site: Laptopscreen.com.

Use alcohol and a piece of cloth to clean the sides of the screen. Apply adhesive strips.
Remove the protective films. Lift the screen up and apply some pressure. Remove protective
film from the new screen.

Replace the bezel. Start from the bottom. Using plastic pick to make sure that remaining glue
is not sticking out from underneath the bezel. Go around the perimeter applying some pressure.
Using one hand support the screen from the back while applying pressure at the bottom of the
bezel. Flip the laptop on the right side and make sure that bezel is tight in the left bottom corner.
Make sure the bezel is tight in the right bottom corner. Close the laptop and snap the bezel
at the bottom.

Turn the laptop on. And we are done!.
