Here is where to find and how to raid the Level 60 Oil Rig in Palworld 1.0, defeat the Attack Chopper boss, and open the large chest containing some of the best loot available from an oil-rig raid.
The Level 60 Rayne Syndicate Platform Oil Rig is located in the ocean southwest of Feybreak Island. It is a massive endgame stronghold filled with high-level Syndicate soldiers, hostile Pals, mounted guns, anti-air defenses, smaller treasure chests, and one heavily protected large chest.
In this video, I show the Level 60 Oil Rig on the complete Palworld map, provide its coordinates, and demonstrate the best route from Feybreak Island.
I also show the other two Oil Rigs:
• The Level 30 Rayne Syndicate Test Drilling Rig near the earlier regions
• The Level 55 Oil Rig Stronghold southeast of Marsh Island
• The Level 60 Rayne Syndicate Platform Oil Rig southwest of Feybreak
The Level 30 rig is a good introduction to oil-rig combat and loot. The Level 55 rig provides a much more dangerous challenge with stronger enemies and better rewards. The Level 60 rig is the endgame version and includes the Attack Chopper boss fight.
GETTING ONTO THE LEVEL 60 OIL RIG
The rig has powerful anti-air defenses, so flying directly toward it can quickly get you and your mount shot out of the sky.
A swimming mount is one of the safest ways to approach. You can also fly low over the water, dismount before entering the most dangerous targeting range, or use advanced movement equipment to reach the lower platforms.
Once aboard, begin clearing the surrounding Syndicate soldiers and hostile Pals.
STANDARD ENEMIES
Most of the rig is protected by armed Syndicate soldiers and their Pals.
Use your own Pal to distract groups while you attack from range. Prioritize enemies carrying rocket launchers, guided missiles, shotguns, flamethrowers, and other high-damage weapons.
The enemies can follow you across large portions of the rig, so clearing the area around the large chest before triggering the boss fight is strongly recommended.
GATLING TURRETS
The mounted Gatling turrets can be damaged and destroyed using your weapons.
Use nearby walls, containers, and machinery as cover. Peek out, fire at the turret, and return to cover before it can track you.
ANTI-AIR DEFENSES
The anti-air installations are controlled by terminals located around the lower portions of their towers.
Look for the glowing green computer terminal near the base of the structure. Walk up to it and press and hold the interaction button.
There is no hacking minigame.
Once the interaction finishes, the connected defensive installation automatically explodes or becomes disabled. This makes later movement around the rig considerably safer.
FINDING THE LARGE CHEST
The large chest can appear in several different locations around the Level 60 platform, so you may need to search multiple sections of the rig.
Clear the nearby soldiers and Pals before interacting with the chest or its protective cage.
When you attempt to access the large chest, the Attack Chopper boss appears and the chest remains locked until the helicopter is defeated.
FIGHTING THE ATTACK CHOPPER
The Attack Chopper has an enormous health pool and attacks with machine-gun fire, homing missiles, and bombing runs.
The biggest challenge is that it normally flies too high for many ground-based Pals to attack consistently. Your Pal can still distract it or deal damage when the helicopter moves lower, but the player will usually need to provide most of the reliable ranged damage.
Bring considerably more ammunition than you think you will need.
Once the Attack Chopper is destroyed, return to the large chest and claim your rewards.
Possible rewards include:
• Crude Oil
• Ancient Civilization Cores
• High-level weapon schematics
• Armor schematics
• Missile and rocket ammunition
• Training Manuals
• Lotus items
• Advanced crafting and combat supplies
