If I know my baby needs to go but he hasn’t gone yet, sometimes I’ll nurse him over something and give him a chance to relax.

I keep his penis tucked in so I don’t get sprayed 😂, let him nurse, and then when he pops off, I can put him right into the potty position.

Potty.

Then back to the breast so he can finish getting a good, full feeding.

Simple!

You can also nurse your baby directly over a Top Hat Potty. Sometimes that position can get a little uncomfortable, though, so do whatever works best for you AND your baby.

This is what elimination communication looks like in real life.

It doesn’t have to be rigid.

You’re watching your baby, responding to what they need, and figuring out how pottying fits naturally into the things you’re already doing every day.
