In this video, see how a Silverson High Shear Mixer can easily create a 50/50 powder/liquid batter mix without lumps. Other formulations and higher concentrations are also possible.
The vigorous movement created by a Silverson Ultramix in-tank mixer ensures powders that tend to float on the liquid surface are quickly wetted out and a homogeneous, smooth mixture is rapidly obtained.
For bulk production, the Silverson Flashmix and Silverson In-Line mixers are suitable for manufacturing the batter mixes. In-Line mixers can also be installed between holding tanks and subsequent processes maintaining a uniform consistency and preventing lumps from blocking the system.
