Do you want a water birth or do you want to give birth standing up? Do you want pain relief - what kind of pain relief do you want? Who should be in the room? What sort of assisted delivery would you like?

In the UK you'll need a birth plan.

We asked Clare, a midwife, to give some top tips on creating a birth plan in the UK that's right for you.

There's more info here on the NHS website - nhs.uk/conditions/pregnancy-and-baby/how-to-make-birth-plan and on Mumsnet: mumsnet.com/pregnancy/birth-plans

Thanks to Clare (Mumsy Midwife).
