This week, I'm back with Part 2 of my 3-D Christmas cookie box, where the focus is on the lids! As with the bottoms in Part 1, there are countless ways to decorate the lids. Here, I quickly share three different examples, and then move on to fully explain the details behind one of my favorites made with embossed cookies and rubber-stamping. My hope is you'll pick up enough ideas and techniques to design a masterpiece of your own!

Silicone Mold sources: The mold used in this video is no longer available for sale, though these sources have other suitable alternatives: firstimpressionsmolds.com/index.aspx and petalcrafts.com/fancy-leaf-food-grade-silicone-mold.html
Un-inked Stamp Pad source (not food grade): tinyurl.com/kf8p4u4
Stamp sources: Red Lead, Michaels, or Hobby Lobby (not food grade; the bird came from Red Lead - redleadpaperworks.com - and the pine branch came from Michaels), or Sweet Stampen (food grade; sweetstampen.com/)

A NOTE ON RUBBER STAMPS:
Not all stamps and ink pads are food grade. I always recommend using food-grade tools on any products intended for consumption. Currently, the best sources of food-grade stamps and ink pads are:
sweetstampen.com/index.asp and wilton.com/. A flat, folded stack of paper towels can also substitute for an uninked ink pad.
