Parents, if your kid is a pitcher you have to educate yourself. No one expects you to know a ton about pitching if you didn’t grow up playing baseball. But a little time spent googling “safe pitch counts and rest” will go a long way - and spend time on the ASMI / MLB Pitch Smart website - where they give research-backed pitch count and rest guidelines for players of all ages. Is that resource enough?
