Today's tutorial I show you how to run the PS3Xploit software mod to downgrade your PS3 to run custom (CFW) firmware. It is a pretty slick process, and we will be doing the web method for today's tutorial.
The beauty behind this is the majority of old PS3 consoles can all of a sudden be jailbroken with relative ease, no more taking apart the PS3 to use hardware downgraders and the like. This is a significant part of PS3 jailbreak history, and now you can be a part of it too to unlock the full potential of this awesome, old school system! Enjoy!
PS3 compatibility:
All Fat PS3
Slim PS3 that is 25xx (manufactured Dec. 2010 and earlier, or min firmware version is 3.56).
3xxx and 4xxx models not supported at this time, but maybe later in the future.
