How to Fix AirPods Pro That Won't Connect to PC
AirPods Pro can connect to Windows computers through Bluetooth, but sometimes they won't appear, won't pair, or keep disconnecting. Try these fixes.
1. Make Sure Bluetooth Is Turned On
Click Start.
Open Settings.
Go to Bluetooth & devices.
Turn Bluetooth On.
2. Put AirPods Pro Into Pairing Mode
Place both AirPods Pro inside the charging case.
Open the case lid.
Press and hold the button on the back of the case.
Keep holding until the light flashes white.
Your AirPods are now ready to pair.
3. Add AirPods Pro to Your Windows PC
Windows 11:
Go to Settings.
Click Bluetooth & devices.
Click Add device.
Select Bluetooth.
Choose AirPods Pro.
Click Connect.
Windows 10:
Open Settings.
Go to Devices.
Click Bluetooth & other devices.
Click Add Bluetooth or other device.
Select AirPods Pro.
4. Remove AirPods and Pair Again
If your PC remembers the AirPods but won't connect:
Open Bluetooth & devices.
Find your AirPods Pro.
Click Remove device.
Put AirPods Pro back into pairing mode.
Pair them again.
5. Reset Your AirPods Pro
Put both AirPods into the case.
Close the lid for 30 seconds.
Open the lid.
Hold the button on the back for about 15 seconds.
Release when the light flashes amber, then white.
Try connecting again.
6. Restart Bluetooth on Your PC
Press Windows key + X.
Open Device Manager.
Expand Bluetooth.
Right-click your Bluetooth adapter.
Choose Disable device.
Wait a few seconds.
Choose Enable device.
7. Check AirPods Audio Settings
After connecting:
Right-click the speaker icon.
Select Sound settings.
Choose your AirPods Pro as the output device.
Select the AirPods microphone if needed.
If AirPods Pro Still Won't Connect
Try:
Restarting your computer.
Updating Bluetooth drivers.
Disconnecting AirPods from nearby iPhones or tablets.
Turning Bluetooth off on other devices temporarily.
