My half inch slabs of aircrete proved to be too thin, cracking when removed from the forms. The double-thick (1-inch) floor piece was much more durable. The heat differential between the side of the aircrete directly touched by flames and the opposite side were significant...proving the highly insulative properties of the aircrete.
