This video will show you how to find out if the Windows operating system you are running is 32-bit or 64bit. This can be important because many applications have separate versions for 32 and 64 bit Windows.
The process for checking is very similar between Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10.
First, just open up your file browser. You can do this by hitting the file browser option on the taskbar, or by just opening any folder.
In the window that pops up, there will be an option on the side that either says "My Computer" or "This PC". Just right click on whichever option you have, and click the properties option at the bottom.
The Window that pops is your system properties window. This has a lot of information about the hardware in your computer, as well as about Windows itself. To find if your Windows installation is 64-bit, look at the system type. This should directly state if it is 64-bit or 32. If there is no field for system type, you can assume that your OS is 32-bit.
