I'll show you how to turn on hardcore mode in existing worlds in Minecraft.
To turn your existing world into a hardcore world, or vice versa, to switch from hardcore back to regular mode, we need to download something.
To do this, go to the link below.
Click download.
And click download again.
And then one last time.
Choose a location and click save.
Next, we need to extract this file.
Now, open "NBTExplorer.exe."
It automatically points to the saves folder in the official directory of the game.
If your world is located in a different place, you can click here and find your folder.
Inside the world folder, look for the file named "level.dat."
And right here, look for the tag named "hardcore."
And change its value from 0 to 1 if you want your world to become hardcore.
Or from 1 to 0 if, on the contrary, you want to turn it into a regular world.
