This Fine Art Friday I am taking a break for awhile from my Canadian Women Art Project to hone my artist skills. I have been following some technique videos by Kirsty Partridge and I will put a link to her channel below. Today I am showing you what I learned from her tutorial on making realistic cat eyes by drawing the eyes of my cat Maggie. Now it was hard to get a picture of her with her eyes open (she is a sleep kitty) and when we did, the lighting was not the best to get great shadows and highlights. I will show the pics I did before, then show you my process for capturing her sweet face. I used FaberCastel Polychromos and Prismacolour Portrait series coloured pencils as well as rubbing alcohol as solvent. I also used watercolour paper. Enjoy!
