First things first, we will need to download the Forge Installer for 26.1. There is a link in the description above that will take you to our text guide Here, click the download button to go to the official download page.
From there, select the 26.1 version on the left-hand side. Then, under "Download Latest", click the "Installer" button. This will take you to AdFocus where you will want to wait about 10 seconds, then click the red "Skip Ad" button in the top right. The Forge 26.1 installer will then start downloading.
Now, we can move on to how to install Forge 26.1 in Minecraft. To do this, you will need Java 25 installed on your computer. If you don't have Java 25, there is a link in the description above to our guide on how to get it. You may also need to run the Jarfix to link your files back to Java, which is linked above as well.
Open the installer with Java, and click "Install Client" and click "Okay". Forge 26.1 will then begin installing. Once Forge has successfully installed, you will see a confirmation message. Click "Okay" and close the installer. You can also delete the installer file at this point as you no longer need it.
To install Forge 26.1 mods, you’ll first need to download them. This is usually done on CurseForge or Modrinth, both linked above. Once they are downloaded, go to the Minecraft launcher, click “Installations” and click the folder on the Forge installation.
This will open your .minecraft folder. Here, you should have a “mods” folder. Otherwise, create one. Move any mods you want into this mods folder. It’s that easy to install Forge 26.1 mods in Minecraft.
Now, just play Minecraft with your Forge installation, and you are good to go! Your mod will be installed and working.
