Learn how to display the phone model, date, and time directly on photos captured with the Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra Camera.
Samsung Camera provides a Watermark setting that can add information to newly captured photos. Depending on the available options, you can display the device model along with the date and time on your photographs.
To enable this feature, open the Camera app and go to Camera Settings. Find Watermark and open its settings. Turn on the Watermark option, then enable the available date and time information and device model options. The exact choices can vary depending on the software version and device configuration.
After enabling the settings, return to the Camera app and capture a test photo. Open the image in Gallery and check that the phone model, date, and time appear as expected.
This feature can be useful for documenting events, recording evidence of when a photograph was captured, identifying which Samsung Galaxy device took the picture, or organizing photos based on capture information.
Remember that watermark information is added to the captured image. It is therefore a good idea to check the watermark position before taking important photographs and make sure it does not cover an important part of the subject.
If you cannot find the Watermark option, update the Camera app and phone software and check the available Camera settings again. Menu names and customization options may differ depending on the Galaxy S26 series software version, camera mode, and region.
The watermark setting generally applies to new photos. It does not normally add the information retroactively to photographs that were already captured.
For clean photographs without additional text, you can disable the Watermark setting again. You can also adjust the available watermark options whenever you want to change what information appears on future photos.
