This second video in our series on Creating Severed Fingers teaches you how to cast eight fingers in alginate. I used a small amount of alginate to show it is possible to use a minimum amount for casting and get good results for those who want their supplies to go as far a possible.
If you were to do this for a commission, I would recommend filling the container to the top to get the best results or coating the fingers with alginate and using plaster bandages as a mother mold over the alginate since someone else is paying you for your services and quality is most important.

Liquid latex: Can be purchased at any costume store. Make sure you get the flesh colored liquid latex for best results.
