You can easily connect your smart TV to the internet using your mobile hotspot by enabling the hotspot on your phone and selecting it on your TV’s Wi-Fi settings.
Step 1 — Turn on the Mobile Hotspot
On your phone or mobile device, go to Settings Network & Internet Hotspot & Tethering (this may differ slightly on Android or iOS).
Enable Mobile Hotspot or Personal Hotspot.
Optionally, set a network name (SSID) and password for easier connection and security.
Step 2 — Check Data Plan and Signal
Ensure your mobile data plan has sufficient data for streaming or online activities.
Make sure your phone is in an area with good cellular reception to maintain a stable connection.
Step 3 — Access Smart TV Wi-Fi Settings
Turn on your smart TV and navigate to the Settings menu.
Select Network or Internet Settings.
Choose Wi-Fi as the connection type (even if you normally use Ethernet).
Step 4 — Connect to the Hotspot
From the list of available Wi-Fi networks, select your phone’s hotspot SSID (network name).
Enter the password you set on your mobile hotspot.
Confirm and wait for the TV to connect; it should indicate connected or internet access available.
Step 5 — Test the Connection
Open any app on your smart TV that requires an internet connection, such as YouTube or Netflix.
If it loads properly, your connection is successful.
If not, check the hotspot settings, signal strength, and password, then retry.
