It is actually very easy to fix the Windows XP or Server 2003 online activation.
Step 1: Verify that the system can access the internet.
Step 2: Set the system date and time.
Step 3: Update the root certificates using the certificate updater:
i430vx.net/files/misc/Cert_Updater_v1.6.exe
Step 4: Try activation. It should work.
If you still have trouble, make sure that at least SSLv3 and TLS 1.0 cipher suites are enabled in internet options. Also, try installing service pack 3.
