In 1888, both Nikola Tesla and Galileo Ferraris published a similar description of a 2-phase motor and generator. I show how and why Ferraris was inspired by optics and Tesla by Arago's wheel.

Wilhelm Rontgen discovered and named x-rays because x was unknown. But why were x-rays unknown and why did the name stick outside of Germany but not inside Germany where it was discovered? Watch the video to find out!
