At ETSU students don’t just learn; they lead, serve, and make an impact. Through the Office of Prestigious Awards, ETSU identifies and cultivates talented and driven students, guiding them toward research, education abroad, public service, and leadership opportunities that prepare them for national recognition and lifelong success.
This video features Trent White, a first-generation college student and Truman Scholar recipient, and Leah Loveday, the 2025 Truman Scholar, along with other outstanding ETSU students. From mentoring through the Roan Scholars Leadership Program to experiences in the College of Public Health, ETSU students are empowered to turn their education into action.
When disaster struck following Hurricane Helene, ETSU students, staff, and faculty stepped up to support the community by providing relief, resources, and hands-on service - showing how Bucs go beyond the classroom to make a real difference.
