The SCARIEST Ben 10 Variant

Ben 10 is a character with many alternate variants. I’d honestly go as far as to say aside from Invincible and Spider-Man, he’s probably one of the most iconic heroes who have alternate counterparts. I mean come on, these guys pulled an Invincible War before Invincible. But of all the variants that you could talk about in Ben 10, I fear this is easily the most terrifying one. Not just because of his scaling, but the narrative that follows this alternate version. You see, what if Asthmuth, the creator of the Omnitrix, was evil? Instead of making this device that almost holds any species in the universe in order to protect the innocent, what if he made this Omnitrix with the sole purpose to destroy? This is where we get none other than Ben 10 Carnitrix. Before we talk about his “scaling” and how strong he’d be compared to let’s say analog horror characters or like fan fic evil sonic or something,I gotta break down the lore. So like I mentioned the Carnitrix is a device to cause destruction and chaos rather than bring peace and harmony like it was meant to be. Vilgax, who is a planet conquering squid man in the original and will stop at NOTHING to take the watch and take over the universe, is now a… good guy? This idea to me is pretty funny like we see specifically Vilgax and Tetrax on the same page which to a lot of you older fans, you already know something is up. Anywho, like in the original Ben would see something falling from the sky and land in a nearby forest. When Ben stumbles across the watch, this thing would latch onto itself to Ben, but clearly in a much more harmful way. After it was touched by Gwen the watch automatically transformed Ben, as that’s its defense mechanism for whenever something that it sees as dangers goes near Ben. But we see clearly the consistency of this is weird, and you could pretty much dap Ben up before then having your hand atomized by Heatblast. Ben turns into Heatblast but clearly it looks just… disturbing and really jarring. But clearly now, it’s like he’s in a nightmare he can escape. When Heatblast is shown to us, he’d intentionally cause a forest fire before turning Ben’s own Cousin Gwen into ash. Like just straight up Dr Manhattans her off the planet by episode 1. After hearing the screams of his niece, Max goes to check this out, before Ben once again transforms, but this time into Creep Pasta XLR8. Now this design personally is the freakiest one we’ve gotten a look at, I mean just peep how he brutally murders Grandpa Max, who was basically Ben’s biggest parental figure in his life. With both of Ben’s attachments to humanity gone, the Carnitrix is pretty much using Ben like a host. Ben would hear someone not too far away, thus indicating the danger sense of the Carnitrix. He once again transforms but this time into Wildmutt, and I’m not going to lie guys this thing just gives me “The Thing” vibes if you know you know. He’d brutally rip apart park rangers for the love of the game and would continue to cause chaos. Of course as we know early on in Ben's journey, Tetrax and them are sent by Vilgax to go retrieve it, but in this timeline Vilgax is with the group. Anywho after these events it’s just kinda Ben running around playing god before then ultimately turning into Ben’s most powerful form Alien X. Only now… he looks like this. Anywho this version of Alien X decides to erase the universe without hesitation, which catches the attention of none other than Professor Paradox. It feels like some line of consistency is drawn there. Anywho this version of Ben would actually kill a lot of versions we’re familiar with, but eventually goes head to head with Ben 10k, who unlike the other Ben’s, stood his ground pretty comfortably. Ben 10k with a fusion of Alien X’s dna, a confirmed inferior alien than Alien X itself was able to vaporize the device and ultimately not get killed when fighting this Alien X. And the reason for this is simply because of one key factor, there is no Bellicus or Serena. Without the personalities, alien x is actually much weaker than the regular one we’re familiar with. If I’m being honest he’s probably closer to the damn Reboot version which uhh… yeah we don’t talk about that dumpster fire but, despite this Ben being an intergalactic murderer, in hindsight due to him not having his humanity, Ben ultimately is a lot weaker because of this. Which fundamentally for me works so well for the character, as that humanity Ben has is not only his biggest strength, but maybe even his greatest weakness as well. And if we could learn one thing from this it’s.
