When did you realise you were trapped in the cult of Jehovah Witnesses?

A person trapped in the Watchtower religion will often make up excuses for the governing body. They will say thay things like there is a lot of nice people in the kingdom hall, or there is possitive sides of having a faith.

But there is one point when these excuses no longer are ok. There is a point when a person have had enough. It might be shunning of a family member, the Australian Royal Commision or the ban on education.

Do you remeber the first time you realised you were trapped in the cult?

And why is it that ex cult member have the tendensy of searching for a saviour instead of finding their own paradise from withinn? I think the ongoing Lloyd Evans scandal is a symptom of ex Jehovah's Witnesses not being able to leave the cult mentality.

I would not be aware of the Lloyd Evans scandal if it were not for himself making a 1.5 hour monetized video informing me about it with the wording:

"I will let the audience adjudicate"

I therefore feel entitled to comment on the sad video HE made public and SPECIFICLY told the audience to "be the Judge".
