Jehovah Witnesses has a paralell legal system that most people do not know about.
Especially not women in the organisation (sisters) because only elders are allowed to read the secret elders book.
I personally think this is unfair, since these rules directly impacts their lives.
If a Jw sister would be a victim of a rape, it is the elders that decide if she will be disfellowshipped or not. But the rules that separate "rape" from "porneia" is not available for the sisters.
The rules are written by 8 old man in New York. None of them have ever been a woman. But their rules dictate the lives of 4.000.000 jehovah witness women.
Transparasy would be a good thing for all Jehovah's Witnesses including the Elders. However it would maybe not be a good thing for the governing body of the Watchtower religion.
A cult with cultleaders that make up their own secret rules and a secret elders book. Why would anyone not like that?
