Today I'm in Arnett Gardens, Trenchtown Jamaica speaking with the legendary George Phang. Also known as "Pepper", a name given to him by Bob Marley, he's a music producer and owner of the infamous 80's reggae/dancehall record label Powerhouse Records ( Sugar Minott, Half Pint, Barrington Levy and more), racehorse owner, Manager of the Arnett Gardens Football club, as well as well respected Community Leader in Trenchtown. We get a glimpse into George's history in the "Jungle", hear about how he risked his life making peace with Tivoli Garden's Dudus Coke to help keep their respective football teams in the league, and how important it is for youths to have outlets like sports and music to keep them on the level.
