Like many, I had high hopes for Phrolova’s story, and still Kuro exceeded expectations.

It’s rare for gacha stories to stick the landing when it comes to villains. Even rarer still is one which dares to ask hard questions, and then refuses to give the easy answers.

We’ve known Phrolova for a long time. Her presence in WuWa wasn’t just as a shadowy figure or mysterious tease — she had history, charisma, and complexity from the start. I didn’t need her to be redeemed. I just wanted her to be done justice.

So going into this quest, I was hopeful… but also wary. I’ve been burned before.
