How expensive is Mexico? Here is a look at some of our grocery costs in Guadalajara, Mexico where we are living for one month. We don't generally drive or take taxis, so we mostly shop at the nearest grocery stores where we can conveniently walk. We did most of our shopping at Soriana, a chain grocery store in central Mexico. There are local street markets and smaller groceries where you can also shop and find items at a lower cost.
