Lily the (white) Golden Retriever was born with an extremely rare condition affecting her ability to swallow.
After much confusion between vets as to what was causing Lilly's disability, her owner Laura was advised to put her to sleep.
But after falling in love with Lilly, one of her other dog's puppies, Laura was defiant and has kept her happily alive three years on.
This was a story Laura felt compelled to share.
