A Narrow-headed Marsh Fly (Helophilus fasciatus) takes off from an American Elm (Ulmus americana) leaf in the Arrowwood Pond at the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center, in Houston, TX, USA. (The fly took off and returned to the same leaf a few times, and this video shows 2 of the takeoffs.)
