A young Cooper's Hawk (Astur cooperii) flies from its perch at Attwater Prairie Chicken National Wildlife Refuge, in Colorado County, TX, USA. Prior to flight, it looked like the Hawk might have been trying to dry its feathers. (Maybe it had taken a bath earlier in the morning? Or maybe its feathers were just wet from morning fog?)
