I've built several Powerstations using RYOBI 18/40V batteries. When the batteries are used in parallel, I always use similar size (Ah) batteries that are fully charged. Several people have asked if there is a way to allow hot-swapping of the batteries or allowing batteries of different charge levels to be used.
I put together a test system using solar blocking diodes. Here are my results
Parts used:
* Heat sinks ( amzn.to/3rSiEuF )
* Watt meter power analyzer ( amzn.to/3dxmwfq )
* 600V/85A Blocking Diode ( amzn.to/3fHIeA0 )
* Ryobi 40V 300W Pure Sine Wave Inverter ( amzn.to/3l7Drui )
* XT60 connectors ( amzn.to/2QdsEBC )
* Ryobi 40V 6Ah ( amzn.to/381aWqY )
* Ryobi 18V 9Ah battery ( amzn.to/2QXU0Mi )
