The nationwide hosepipe ban in place since late July has been extended for 13 counties.

Uisce Éireann has extended the ban until the end of September for Carlow, Cork, Dublin, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Limerick, Meath, Offaly, Tipperary, Waterford, Wexford and Wicklow, saying that the supplies need more time to recover.
