A Status Yellow high temperature warning for Leinster and Tipperary has been issued by Met Éireann, with temperatures set to hit as high as 29C tomorrow.

The forecaster warned of potential water safety issues as the weather brings increased activity around waterways and beaches.

The high temperatures will also lead to uncomfortable sleeping conditions as well the potential for heat stress and animal welfare issues.

The warning comes into place at 6am tomorrow and ends at 6am on Friday.

Nights are expected to be muggy, with minimum temperatures of over 15C.
