You can't visit Amish Country in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania without taking a horse and buggy ride! I took the 55-minute covered bridge ride through the picturesque Amish countryside, which included many Amish homes and farms, as well as going through a covered bridge built in 1876. Our horse-drawn buggy took us through Intercourse, Pennsylvania and other parts of Lancaster County. Our guide Ruth gave us the history of what we were seeing, and of course, talked about the Amish way of life. It was a very enjoyable way to experience Amish Country.
