The Holland Ravines is a section of the Conservation Trail. This trail is a 177 mile long trail that starts at the Pennsylvania Border within Allegheny State Park. It continues North until it crosses the Rainbow Bridge into Niagara Falls, Ontario where it meets up with the Bruce Trail.
The Conservation Trail is part of the Finger Lakes Trail (FLT) System and is maintained by the Foothills Trail Club. The Holland Ravines hike is located on a section of trail that passes through Holland, NY. The hike is 9 miles long, crossing 34 ravines, and is one of the most unique hikes in WNY. It is a very strenuous hike that winds in and out of numerous ravines and will pass many scenic small waterfalls. What makes this section of trail so special is the trail work done by the 2008-2010 FLTC Alley Cat trail crews. You will encounter many sections of switchbacks, stairs, and bridges that you just do not see to this extent on trails in this area.
NOTE: This section of Trail is CLOSED TO ALL HIKERS during the hunting seasons of MAY 1st - 31st AND OCTOBER 1st - DECEMBER 22nd.
