With Historicon 2021 officially in the history books and HMGS fresh off its first convention in nearly two years, what comes next? What does the future of HMGS look like in the aftermath of COVID shutdowns and lockdowns? How many conventions will be held in 2022? Where will Historicon be held next year? What are the major challenges facing HMGS as an organization and what is anyone doing about it?
At Historicon this November we sat down with HMGS President John Hollier, along with some of his fellow board members, to ask these questions and get some answers. One BIG question that HMGS has resolved between the filming of these interviews and the present is that Cold Wars 2022 in Ocean City MD has been CANCELLED and the future contract with the Ocean City Convention Center is also terminated. The issues surrounding Cold Wars 2022 are discussed by the president at some length in this interview.
