Reely Interesting | H-Man - ダンガントーク (2008 Japanese Digital Betacam Upscaled HQ Reggae Music Video) @ReelyInteresting | Uploaded September 2022 | Updated October 2024, 2 days ago.
This is the official music video of the song "Dangan Talk" from the album "Nakanakanai" by the Japanese Reggae singer "H-MAN."
H-MAN was a fairly popular Japanese Reggae singer that was active between 2001 and 2011. Many of his tunes are quite funny but also catchy. A good portion of his songs were produced with the assistance of major Reggae dancehall producers such as Steely & Clevie.
Digi Beta (Digital Betacam) was the first digital video format designed for portability. It was the slightly compressed derivative of the huge & expensive D-1 format. Using Betacam/Betamax-sized tapes, most the format's playback & recording decks were backwards compatible with Betacam & Betacam SP, making a logical upgrade path for many production houses. It was popular for mastering general television production that required generational resilience and high performance.
Enjoy this rare music video to a rather odd Japanese Reggae tune!

This was played back using a Sony MSW-M2100 Betacam player.
This is a REELY EXCLUSIVE upload! This footage is from the only known master recording.
Note: The image is cropped to 16:9 to match the content recorded on the tape. As a result, the vertical resolution is almost half of the full Digi Beta resolution...and yet it still looks so good!
