To say this game is jank is an understatement. Regarding the resolution: Attempting to use a 16:9 resolution, which Youtube prefers and is what this video is rendered as, causes issues with field of view and breaks various things. There’s some things you can do to address this but considering how annoying old PC games are to record, I just went with how the game was supposed to look instead of trying to pretty it up. A big resolution isn’t going to fix the textures, anyway.
As this is the first game in the series, it is the roughest mechanically and trying to play it like the later entries in the series will only lead to a bad time. Well, a worse time. It’s a hard game to love. There’s no non-lethal options, accidents or ranking, most of the missions are pretty rigid in how you can play them and the best way to play is by simply shooting npcs. You’re only penalized for taking out civilian and police npcs.
For Plutonium Runs Loose, stealth is not an option once you board the ship as the guards will stop you in any disguise if you try to enter the internal sections and you need to take out the engineers otherwise they stop the engine. Even if you can grab a gate guard uniform, they still won’t let you pass without trailing one of the patrolling npcs. Also, this level sucks.
There is a bad ending if you get tased during the final level but it just replays the tutorial cutscenes.
