Here I'm going to stroll around Paducah, which is the largest city in Kentucky's western third, or the Jackson Purchase region. With a population of over 27,000 people, this has always been essential as an Ohio River community, with water service. Several historical places and markers (by the Kentucky Historical Society) can be seen there.
