Bring more water than you think you’ll need, pack snacks, sun protection, a basic first aid kit, and make sure your phone is fully charged. Let someone know your route and when you expect to return.
Once you’re on the trail, stay alert. Keep to marked paths, take breaks when needed, and don’t ignore early signs of heat illness, dehydration, or fatigue. If the trail becomes unsafe, turn around. The mountain will still be there another day.
