In this exclusive interview, Bartosz Paszkowski, Quality & Project Manager of Wasiak Group, reports on the successful collaboration with VITRONIC in which 100% of the demanding quality requirements in the e-mobility production of an OEM customer were met without affecting the speed of the production itself. By using the VIRO WSI system for automated weld inspection, over 200,000 welds on battery frames were accurately inspected, significantly improving quality control and increasing efficiency.
All inspection results are visualized in different views and displayed in real-time statistics. They are also stored in an internal database with component and seam identifiers. In this way, everything is comprehensively documented and can later be evaluated and tracked.
With the help of the statistics and the evaluation tool, process deviations can be detected at an early stage and the welding system can be readjusted. In this way, VIRO WSI helps to prevent welding errors from the outset.
The employees of Wasiak S.A. were trained on the new system in a training course lasting several days and were supported by VITRONIC technicians as needed during the first months. Since then, they have been able to operate the complete system independently and make all settings. Of course, VITRONIC continues to offer service for the system.
