I decided to assemble one of these high voltage arc generators (you can purchase from ebay or aliexpress for less than 3 euro). The circuit has an oscillator at the primary side of transformer and can produce 10-15 kV at the secondary. I have measured the voltage of the main primary winding and you can see the waveform which appears across the primary winding of the transformer. The turn ratio of this transformer must be between 200-300, I will measure the exact value in another video. The oscillator amplifies the voltage approximately 10 times which is across the main primary winding. The pulses have a frequency of ~20 kHz. In the next video I will simulate this circuit and describe the operation of this circuit and show you how exactly this waveform is created.
