Well, mainly fire and streams of smoke from those incense sticks that you burn.

While in Hong Kong, we stayed for Chinese New Years and my grandparents' house is very old and involved in some even older traditions where we get one of those pantomime dragon things to come to our house and pray. Therefore, we had to prepare a lot of stuff, burn a load of special papers and such not just for the short ceremony, but also for New years itself.

The fire here isnt all to do with New years, one or two were just us burning unwanted papers and boiling soup.

But anyway, fire is a difficult thing to animate, perhaps this slow-motion reference can help people to figure out a pattern they can use to animate fire themselves eh?
