If you're looking for high speed train action, then Amtrak's Northeast Corridor is the heart of "High Speed Rail" in the United States. Running between Washington, DC and Boston, the NEC provides a vital link between various major metropolitan areas. The NEC has been on my list for some time, so it was more than appropriete to pay a visit. Shots are from various parts of Maryland, from Perryville, down towards the Washington DC area.

Amtrak trains are the main feature along this line, with a handful of MARC passenger trains. From time to time, you'll also see CSX and NS freights traversing the NEC at various hours. The Acela Express has to be my favorite hands down, I look forward to seeing it more in the near future!
