In this video I create both a high key and low key beauty image using 2 strobes and the exact same modifiers. The only differences? In one shot I used a reflector, and in the other I added grids while changing the position of the main light. In truth it’s really pretty minimal changes with really dramatic results.
Controlling the amount of light and shadows in your images is extremely important to controlling the mood in a shot… plus honestly it's a fundamental element to knowing your way around the studio.
