I know this route like the back of my hand having walked and ridden it countless times.
I would like to dedicate this video to Max.
I have known Max for around 36 years.
He was never a cyclist and always joked with me about how mad I am to be riding a pushbike, He preferred his motor cycle and car, but even though he was not a cyclist he still watched the videos and I said to him one day I'll make a cycling video just for you to wind you up Max.
So there is a touch of Irony here.
Max was a free thinking man, saw through all the tricks and a good judge of character.
In life he experienced the good times and the bad and had a well rounded experience of what life has to offer.
It was a true privilege to have know Max.
Another old and Wise friend has now left the Earth. A man whom you could not offend, even if you tried, people like Max are true friends indeed.
Others come and go but the Good ones will stay with you till the end.
This was a very enjoyable journey, in total we cycled 98 miles and had two overnight camps in our Alpkit Tarpstar1 tents.
