Here we are my friends š itās finally Typhoctober! š
I wanted to start off on one of my favorite months with something that would ease you into such a spooky time. And what better song than the one that eases you into a spooky area in Undertale š
This is one song Iāve wanted to remix for years actually. I remember when I first made my megalovania remixes that I wanted to remix Here We Are as well, but just simply couldnāt create anything good enough. But now that I have much more experience creating music, I feel I am finally able to make something of substance with this song. Here We Are is an experience honestly. The first time those drums come in hit my ears like a truck, absolutely banging right from the get go. I just knew that this song was gonna be a banger. That choir really sets the tone though, that creepy low howling that it sings is literally one of my favorite things about Here We Are.
But about my remix here, It took me quite some trial and error to get the drums how I wanted. I feel that since they are such an integral part to the vibe, I just couldnāt spare any room for mistakes. So I took it to another level, made it just a bit more groovy with some little hi hats playing in between. As for other percussion elements, the triangle was definitely a strange one, but I felt it fit way too well here for some reason. And the conga? I donāt even know. I just love the groove it adds. And one thing that surprised me about the original song, is that it doesnāt have a bassline, so I took it upon myself to add one! And I absolutely love how bouncy it is. As for other instruments, like the saxophones, the trumpets, the insane amount of pianos, and the chimes. I felt these were needed to create this feeling I was seeing in my head, I donāt know what it categorizes as but I feel like Iāve heard all of these instruments be put together before.
