Hoping to catch Wisconsin & Southern T-004 on a rare daylight run into Chicago, IL, I packed my gear and made the journey over to the Metra Milwaukee District West (MD-W) line / CPKC C&M Subdivision. After several hours, many Metra and Amtrak trains, a Union Pacific local with a C&NW caboose, and a full soaking of rain from head to toe… I finally witnessed the trio of red and white SD60M locomotives bring the freight through Mayfair Station!
