After a nine-year-long hiatus, the "Hamilton Railfanning" series has returned! First introduced in June of 2008 and last published in 2017, the series was once the core foundation of Trainiac Productions programs. During a brief visit home to New Jersey in late-August 2026, my Father and I spent a little over an hour watching trains at NJ Transit's Hamilton Station. It was genuinely magical to recreate the exact routine we had enjoyed together countless times during my youth, and this particular visit is now one of my favorites of all time!
Although the originals were filmed in 480p on a Canon point-and-shoot camera and this one was filmed in 4K, I edited the video in the same simple, straightforward style of the original series.
All of my "Hamilton Railfanning" videos were made possible thanks to a combination of my Father and my Grandmother's efforts to support my hobby. No matter the time of day or type of weather, they both took me here to watch trains as often as they could. And for that reason "Hamilton Railfanning" will always hold a very special place in my heart.
